Nestled just 13 km from Santiago, it's perfectly positioned for final preparations before the cathedral. The shared lounge offered a cozy spot to unwind with a cocktail from their bar, and I loved having a clean and inviting garden to relax in—such a soothing way to soak in the landscape after the rigors of walking. Though I encountered a less-than-friendly staff member when trying to transfer my bed to another pilgrim, the rest of my experience was charming; spacious rooms with classic decor and a shared bathroom that was surprisingly well-kept. A comfortable bed, fresh linens, and even laundry services made this stop a true blessing! If you're after a warm welcome, a beautiful setting, and a shared experience with fellow travelers, La Calabaza is a memorable choice on the Camino route.
